This session of spiritual nurture is for you! It will not last more than 60 minutes. It will include a brief greeting from Moderator Rev. Elder Cecilia Eggleston, a short time of meditation, and 45 minutes for personal sharing and connection with your chaplain colleagues.

NOON Your Time - PRAY for Pastors, Pastoral Leaders, Boards and Lay Leaders
Let us take time to pray for all those in leadership in local churches during these challenging times. Pray for those doing their best to offer virtual worship and various modes of congregational connection. Pray for those offering pastoral and congregational care to those in need. Pray for the safety of all those offering food ministries. Pray for the Boards who are dealing with church finances, church property and administrative implications of COVID-19.

Please join Elder Nancy Mxwell, a member of the Council of Elders, in a live broadcast "Spiritual Nourishment”. It will be a time to explore various spiritual practices, as well as take prayer requests to the Council. The topic of the first broadcast is exploring the spiritual practice of the "daily examine". In preparation for our time together, people can begin to think about their "desolations" during this time, as well as their "consolations". For those who feel comfortable, they can share their desolations and consolations in the comments during our time together.

Last week, a simple poll was run on the Facebook MCC Clergy and Lay Page. So far, the survey shows:
34 churches distributing groceries
11 providing sack lunches
9 serving hot meals
2 providing food bank resource referrals
18 comments with more details on their food ministries
2 of our USA churches were featured for their feeding programmes in local news stories!
